Helping teens and adults navigate stress and uncertainty with more confidence | Training practitioners to join the mission
webinar series
Managing teens and young adults can be challenging, unpredictable, and isolating.
Efforts to try and set limits, manage their behaviors, or handle conflict can quickly escalate into meltdowns, hostility, or coldness.
And it’s more complicated with teens navigating stress, unstable moods, addictions, or mental health issues.
“I feel like we’ve lost our connection — we spend almost no time together and I have no idea how to reach her.”
“We argue, or there’s silence. There’s no in-between. It’s like the relationship is just drying up completely.”
“She’s stressed about school, friends, and the future. I’m caught between pushing and supporting, and I worry I’m doing neither of them right.”
“Is there something happening behind the scenes I don’t know about? What if he’s hiding a bigger problem? I’m scared to ask, and I’m also scared of the answer.”
“What if I push too hard? Or what if I don’t do enough and it gets worse? It’s paralyzing.”
Devoted and determined parents put in massive amounts of thought and energy trying to reach their kid, but it doesn’t translate into a real connection, or the practical support and influence they so desperately want to provide.
What’s worse, their interventions and efforts to parent or even connect can so easily backfire and create more distance and conflict.
In this series I’ll share my proven and practical trade secrets from 25 years as a therapist and coach both working with teens and teaching parents to connect to their kids.
Fortunately, even the tiniest amount of insight and learning will immediately impact your relationship with your teen. Teens are surprisingly sensitive — when you change how you’re doing things, even a little, they pick up on it.
These sessions will help you get on solid footing with your kid, give you both some relief from a strained or isolated relationship, and allow you to provide genuine support and influence.
This 4-part live series is applicable to all kids, including tweens, teens, grown kids, introverts, neuro-spicy kids, and the ‘leave me alone’ kind.
The focus is on helping parents, step-parents, and family members, as well as practitioners working with parents.
Joining me for a session will be guest speaker Dr. George Pransky, Ph.D., a psychologist with 40+ years of clinical experience in teens, parenting, and family systems.
Four live 75-minute sessions will take place Thursdays in February 2026:
February 5 at 11am PT
February 12 at 11am PT
February 19 at 11am PT
February 26 at 11am PT

No, your partner does not need to participate in any of my programs. In fact about half of the people that attend my relationship programs either have partners that don’t participate, or they’re single. It may seem like a funny concept to attend a relationships program without a partner, but the fact is, it doesn’t actually matter given how relationships actually work.
The goal of these programs is to help you to show up to the relationship, and the tension and challenges it brings with less reactivity and overanalysis, and more clarity, grace, and presence. That has a profound and immediate impact on the relationship as it changes the level of communication, the chemistry, the connection, and the overall dynamic. It’s the best thing you can do for yourself, AND for the relationship.
Yes. Many of the people in my relationship programs are either single and don’t necessarily want a relationship right now, are dating and looking to settle down, or are with someone but not sure if that’s ‘their person.’
My programs are designed to give you a solid foundation to build close and healthy relationships in the future. It does not mean you are committing to the person you’re with, or that you need to be in a relationship right now. When you’re ready, and you find someone you want to put your energy into, you’ll understand what it takes to stay out of your old habits, go through challenges without shutting down, and build a connection that’s real and gets better over time.
